CHEAP HOLIDAYS IN SALOU

If you want to go on holiday with your friends and not pay much this article is for you!

This summer we decided with three friends to go on holiday but we didn't want it to cost us a lot of money. So we thought directly about Spain. Indeed being French, it was a destination accessible by car! 

So we started our search and found that Salou was the perfect destination if we didn't want to spend a lot of money: 

• Housing

Regarding accommodation, in Salou, you can find small apartments in a very good location without paying too much. We stay in a small residence that you can find on Booking.com under the name "Rex apartment". The staff is extremely pleasant and the neighborhood is very quiet. This residence is located about 500 meters from the beach and is just above the street where you can find nightclubs, restaurants and souvenir shops. 

We were 4, we stayed 7 days 6 nights and the accommodation cost us only 100€ per person. We left at the end of June and beginning of July.

• Food

In Spain food is very cheap. If you have the opportunity I strongly advise you to stop at the Jonquera. There you will find a large shopping center where you can do your shopping. The prices are extremely interesting because you don't pay any taxes on the products.   

• NightClubs

Salou is THE destination if you want to enjoy nightclubs with your friends. Indeed, Salou has many nightclubs offering constant promotions. During the day the people working in these clubs walk around the streets of Salou to give you promotions and encourage you to come to their club in the evening. If you are a girl, you will often be able to enter the nightclubs for free. I highly recommend the club Tropical. It's a nightclub with different floors with different kinds of music. On the top floor, you have French music, it's great!

• Beach

Concerning beaches in Salou, you will see the main beach which is a huge sandbank on which you can find many deckchairs hire companies. This is extremely pleasant and very inexpensive. Indeed the rental of a deckchair for the day is 10€. On this beach, you can also rent pedal boats. 

Walking on this beach in the evening is very pleasant. Many small chicha bars are located on this beach. You can have a small cocktail with your feet in the sand! 

• Restaurants

For those of you who are restaurant people, you're bound to find what you're looking for. However, be careful with the restaurant offering a lot of choices on their menu. Very often the quality of these restaurants is very neglected. The Tropical also has a restaurant that I highly recommend, it is excellent. You can eat copiously for less than 20€.
